5 billion people are without access to safe surgery worldwide. One of
the primary reasons for this is the lack of adequate and affordable
sterilisation options in low-resource settings.
Sterilise turns any pressure cooker into a low-cost, small-scale
autoclave. The kit contains an internal tray to hold the instruments and
an indicator to show when sterilisation has been achieved. The pot can
be boiled using fire, gas or electricity depending on what is available
and uses minimal amounts of water.
