The aim of the scheme is to stimulate design capability among the country’s most able graduates to the benefit of UK industry.

Our Industrial Design Studentships provide graduates in engineering, science or design with funding to study for a master's in Industrial Design with the objective of stimulating industrial design capability amongst the country's most able science and engineering graduates.

The Studentships aim to stimulate industrial design capability among the country’s most able graduates. Successful innovations need to be not only fit for purpose, they must also be technically feasible and desirable to their customers and the wider society in which we live.

Please note that only candidates who have obtained admission to, but not yet started a suitable postgraduate course, may apply.
